Lao Sze Chuan

Lao Sze Chuan is an upscale Chinese Restaurant in the North Bethesda area. It’s a gorgeous space with high ceilings and an open floor plan. They’re known for their Peking duck dish and the flaming lamb chops. I visited with my husband and some friends on a Friday night, it was well occupied but not crowded—maybe because we came early (around 5pm). They have a huge menu so it was hard to choose what to try but I was impressed with everything we sampled. The dumplings, fried rice and spring rolls were good but that crispy shrimp with lemon sauce was perfect. The lamb chops came out flaming and were tasty. Service was great, our waiter Michael was attentive and gave us samples of this Chinese whiskey and it was so good. I’d definitely come back here, especially with a group and to try some of the other menu items.
